As a woman with a complex medical history and difficulty becoming pregnant, I knew a doula would be a part of my pregnancy and birth plan. My little one is now 14 months old, and my husband and I still to this day talk about how thankful we are that we found Jesse to support us throughout our journey. She was the perfect mix of helpful, available, real, and nurturing. As a mother who went through IVF and had gestational diabetes, I especially reflect on how helpful she was after our many ultrasounds and visits with doctors when we felt like information was confusing or conflicting. She was always available to hop on the phone, provide actual statistics and facts, as well as counsel and provide info from her previous tdoula experience. These calls were invaluable to us and our ability to feel empowered and informed. During our ECV and subsequent scheduled cesarean, Jesse helped us both feel calm, seen, supported, hydrated, and comfortable. She's just got a great vibe and her ability to read the room can't be taught!! She's got a gift.
