Steph was an absolutely incredible doula, and I truly could not have had my natural home birth without her. She has so many tools and techniques at her fingertips and an intuitive sense of exactly what to do and when to do it. From hands-on support like hip squeezes, positioning, and comfort measures, to suggesting specific movements and techniques when my labor stalled, she helped keep things progressing when it mattered most. She also coached my husband through supporting me so he could stay fully present and confident throughout the entire birth, which made a huge difference.
Beyond the physical support, Steph was an unwavering advocate for me. She supported informed decision-making, explained options clearly, and brought a deep knowledge of birth statistics and physiology that helped me feel empowered and confident in every choice. Her presence during birth was calm, steady, and grounding, she was a solid anchor during the most intense moments of labor. She supported me, held me, and was there for me in every way possible. Steph also encapsulated my placenta, and the entire process was super easy. I’ve found the capsules have been very supportive for my hormone regulation after birth and for maintaining my energy during the postpartum period. Her support was truly invaluable, and I will forever be grateful for the role she played in helping me bring my baby boy into the world.
