Lesli was an absolute gift during my birth, and I can’t recommend her highly enough.
I went into this delivery planning an unmedicated hospital birth, but things didn’t go 100% according to that original plan, and honestly, it ended up going even better than what I’d imagined. When I made the decision to get an epidural (which was 100% the right choice for me, especially because my labor was long), Lesli never made me feel ashamed or like I had “failed” my plan. Instead, she helped me stay grounded, focused, and confident in my choices the entire way through.
Lesli was a true partner, calm, steady, and incredibly hands-on. She coached me through contractions, kept trying different positions and approaches, and helped me work with my body instead of fighting it. One of the most impactful things she did was guide me through a technique called “laboring down,” which made a tremendous difference when it came time to push. By the time pushing started, my body was already doing the work, like I couldn’t not push.
Because of Lesli’s support, I walked away from this birth feeling empowered and genuinely happy. No trauma, only a small first-degree tear, and my recovery was quick and minimal compared to my first birth. I’m so grateful for her expertise, her presence, and the way she supported me without judgment from start to finish.
