From the first call with Jen, I instantly knew she was the doula for us. As expats in NY, it was important for us to have a doula who could guide us through our first pregancy as well as the birth within a hospital setting.
Jen provided us with a wealth of knowledge, ensuring we were well informed to take charge of our birth experience. Even nurses during my birth commented and complimented her commitment compared to other doulas they have seen.
What will stick with my husband and, I is Jen’s level of care even post-partum. Due to concerns based on my blood pressure Jen urged me to get checked out. She helped my husband and I pack our bags, so that I could get to the ER. Being only 6 days post partum, this was a really emotional time and Jen continued to check in on both my husband and I, and giving me the tools to ensure I could advocate for myself to get the care I needed.
We will treasure having Jen alongside us as we brought our daughter in to this world forever. I cannot recommend Jen enough, not only as a wonderful doula but as an incredible person.
