I did not have a doula for the birth of my first child and I regret it! The dedicated doula team was so helpful throughout the entire pregnancy. They were always available to answer questions and checked in often. They were especially such a great resource leading up to the labor and delivery. We planned a home birth but had to transfer to the hospital. They even offered to help us figure out arrangements for our toddler since we don't have reliable family in town to help. I did not expect them to continue supporting us well into the postpartum phase but it was incredibly helpful to have someone available to answer questions about our concerns, particularly with breastfeeding.
We weren't sure if we needed a doula this pregnancy, but we were so glad we hired the dedicated doula team. They were truly our greatest source of support during an unexpected turn of events for our birth. Although we did not plan a hospital birth, we were still able to have as natural a birth as we intended and we credit that to them! We would absolutely use them again for the next pregnancy and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a doula!
