Julie is the person you want by your side as you travel through the unknown dimensions of birth. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, generous, funny, and kind. She helped my partner and I process unforeseen circumstances during pregnancy and come up with a way to pivot our plans if necessary.
We were able to have the home birth that we envisioned. I cannot imagine my birth without Julie. Labor is such an unpredictable terrain and Julie showed up and offered what I didn’t know I needed, physical touch and verbal affirmations and support for me and my partner. Having a doula is a privilege that should be accessible to all birthing people and Julie believes in that philosophy and works to make it happen. For me her presence at my birth allowed me to sink into the process and trust my body.
