It was my 8th pregnancy, my first time with Julie as our doula, and surprisingly one of the more difficult births. Thank goodness she was there to provide us the support and care that was very much needed.
Usually my labors are short and my push times are almost always under 30 minutes but the latter stretched almost two hours.
The entire time from when she first came to me dilating 7,8,9 and 10 cm she was there, calmly encouraging me with genuine positives and supportive hip squeezes. It got to a point where when I started a contraction I would immediately call out her name and she was there to help me through.
We still plan to have more kids and I want Julie there for each one going forward. Without a doubt I absolutely recommend her to anyone who is considering a doula. Shes knowledgeable, kind, and calm, and I hope she continues being a doula for years to come. Thank you Julie!
