When my husband and I planned to have our second we knew we wanted to have a doula to help welcome our babe into the world. We were so happy to have found Steph and at our first meeting knew that she was going to be a great fit for us ! I appreciated Steph's laid back attitude while also being a wealth of knowledge. I wasn't expecting my water to break and when it did in the middle of the night( and I was freaking out ??), being able to talk it through with Steph was so helpful.
I don't think you're ever fully prepared for Labour and what it can bring and being 10 days early I wasn't mentally prepared. Having Steph there to help me through the stages of Labour and ease the contractions with different techniques was a game changer. Our little man was a modest 9 lbs 13 oz and required quite a lot of effort to come out and we're so thankful we had an amazing team to help welcome him into the world. I definitely feel without her help we could have needed more interventions and I'm so happy we were able to have him naturally with little complication. Steph is a special soul with a passion for helping women bring babies into this world and she is so good at what she does.
