We are deeply grateful to have bad Mel’s incredible support for the birth of our baby. As a first time mom, I had a lot of nerves and uncertainty about pregnancy, labor, and the immediate postpartum experience. During the prenatal visits, Mel asked me questions to help me articulate what I wanted in my labor experience and received my questions without judgement. Throughout pregnancy, they provided me with resources and wisdom to help me understand my options and feel confident about the decisions that were right for me.
Most importantly, Mel made me feel deeply supported and well-cared for throughout labor. They were a calm but steady force when I felt nervous, listened to my concerns without judgement, and made me feel confident in trusting my intuition throughout my labor. Mel’s hands on support, words of encouragement, and overall grounding presence enabled me to to feel profoundly present to the experience. And, because my husband trusted Mel to help us navigate decisions that came up along the way, he felt supported and present as well. I felt like I had a partner in a truly transformative experience.
I cannot recommend Mel enough. They are a true gift.
