Natasha was an exceptionally calm and steadying presence during birth. My baby flipped after 39 weeks and thus I unexpectedly had an induction following an external version and it was wonderful to have her alongside me, by phone and in person, giving me the confidence to ask for details and options from my doctor and midwife at every stage of the induction and labor. Once we felt sure I was in the late stage of active labor and asked Natasha to join us, she made me feel safe and was very reassuring as labor progressed and intensified.
Although we felt silly practicing labor positions and comfort measures during the third trimester, my husband and I were so glad Natasha gave us a hands on demonstration and encouraged us to prepare literally for the birth. It meant we felt much more comfortable and had a plan when we arrived at the hospital. I also found it very helpful that in writing my birth plan together with Natasha she encouraged me to articulate my ideal birth, rather than setting the bar at safe or acceptable.
