Lulu is amazing! She was our doula for the birth of our first child in the fall of 2025. Throughout my pregnancy, I was very anxious about the birth process and knew I wanted additional support during labor. Hiring Lulu helped put my mind at ease and prepare the birthing process. She met with my husband and I twice at our home to go over our preferences and talk about what to expect during labor. This helped put our minds at ease knowing that someone outside of the hospital staff was there for us. She helped me feel more confident and prepared throughout this journey. The labor and birth went smoothly. Lulu was in constant communication with us when labor began and helped us determine when to go to the hospital. She joined us in the middle of the night and helped me labor until the afternoon the next day when my baby was born. It was a successful unmedicated birth and I couldn't have done it without her! She offered continuous support for both my husband and I. For me, she assisted with effective positions during contractions and helped with pain management through the use of massage and essential oils. She guided me as my body and mind navigated the birthing process, assuring me when I wasn't sure what was normal. She is a wealth of information which helped because I am a person who likes to ask a thousand questions! She also worked seamlessly with hospital staff to assist me during the pushing phase when things got intense and I needed to try different positions. After the birth, she stayed with us for three hours to make sure we felt comfortable and about a week or two after we got home from the hospital she visited us for our postpartum appointment to make sure we were doing well. Honestly, I cannot recommend Lulu enough. She was the steady and supportive presence my husband and I needed during this new and intense time where anxiety abounds. If we were to have another child, I'd definitely want Lulu there once again!
