Lauren was my doula in my immediate days postpartum and I can't emphasize enough the immense impact she had on my experience as a first time mom in those early days. She ensured I was 100% taken of so that all of my energy and attention could go towards healing and taking care of and bonding with my new baby. Beyond keeping me well nourished and hydrated she was a listening ear as I navigated becoming a mom and offered a place of safety and compassion for me to share all my thoughts and feelings. She enabled me to easily rest and recover, knowing that all the other things were being taken care of - laundry, cooking, cleaning, and even my dogs. Every mother knows the vulnerability and sensitivity of those first few days back home as a new mom. Lauren wrapped me in warmth, love, nourishment, and care and gave me all the space I needed to lean into and discover my new role as a mother.
