My husband and I met with Lydia virtually. We came in with no questions and a checkbox birth plan off Pinterest. We were going to go to the hospital and just trust that the doctors knew best, but quickly with talking with Lydia, I decided to be an active participant in my own care. We made a birth plan and a postpartum plan from scratch (which is the only way to do it).
Lydia is a wealth of knowledge, patient, and answered any questions we had. She gave us so many resources to help us with our knowledge gaps which helped us make informed decisions. More than just learning new things about the whole birthing process, both me and my husband felt a lot more confident going into it. She didn't try to push us into any plan, but worked with us to make sure we knew the benefits and risks to every option. She was kind and supportive in making sure that we knew all our options. It was great having a set time with Lydia knowing that she didn't have anything to gain from any particular decision.
Whether you plan on giving birth in a hospital, birthing center, or at home, we could not recommend working with Lydia more.
