Chelsey was truly incredible to work with. Her prenatal sessions were so educational and in depth, and she helped me understand every option and decision on my birth plan so I always felt informed and confident. I came to her with previous birth trauma, and as a high risk patient my chances of a VBAC often felt slim. Chelsey believed in me when many others didn’t, and that reassurance meant everything. Because of her guidance and support, I went on to have a successful VBAC, and every decision in the labor room was grounded in what she had prepared me for.
At 37 weeks I was sent for an unexpected induction due to a medical reason, and even though she wasn’t officially on call yet, Chelsey still came to the hospital to support me. She created a peaceful and calming birth environment by using acupuncture, guiding me through helpful movements to encourage baby to move down, and setting the room with soft lighting, candles, and music. She supported every choice I made without judgment and continued to show up for our family even after the baby was born.
Chelsey is compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly worth every penny. I am so grateful for the healing birth experience she helped me have and I highly recommend her to anyone seeking an amazing doula.
