From day one Clarissa was an invaluable asset to David and I as first time parents. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about babies, confidant and comfortable with newborns, and she helped us through the difficult and sometimes tedious initial weeks of parenthood with encouragement, patience, kindness, humor, and tons of tips and advice. We felt safe with her from her first night with us. The intro to first time parenthood is an extremely high learning curve, and Clarissa helped us navigate what, at first, felt insurmountable, inspiring confidence in both David and I from day 1. It was especially helpful for me to have Clarissa, a lactation consultant, by my side during my introduction to breast feeding. Without being taught the tips and tricks and given information on infant oral issues, I'm sure I would have struggled finding a feeding rythm. Not only was she terrific with our daughter, Eloise, but also with us. I'll always fondly remember evening pumps at our dining room table sharing laughs and stories.
