We feel so lucky and thankful to have been helped by Monique. Leading up to the delivery of our newborn, Monique did a very thorough job getting to know us, what we need, and then using that information to tailor a birth plan for us specific to our needs. Going into the delivery, we had so many questions, but Monique went through everything in detail and we felt very prepared going into such a momentous occasion.
When it came time for the delivery, we faced so many obstacles and adversity. If anything could go sideways, it did. Monique was there for us, in-person at the hospital, and helped us navigate the good, the bad, and the unpredictable.
To be honest, we would have been lost without Monique. Monique was there every step of the way. When things got tough with the hospital staff, Monique was there to explain what was going on and was an advocate for us when we needed it most.
After the delivery, knowing we wanted to nurse our baby naturally, Monique made sure it happened even when we were incapable of doing it alone. No nurse or doctor could have helped the way Monique did, and we couldn’t imagine going through giving birth without her.
We believe that Monique was absolutely essential to the safe delivery of our baby and we cannot recommend her enough. If you are a soon to be parent, I highly recommend Monique as your doula. She is a rockstar and we cannot thank her enough for all that she has done for us.
