I worked with Jaymie in 2025 and she helped me deliver my first baby in November.
I’m thankful for the support and compassion Jaymie provided throughout my birth experience and even during my last few weeks of pregnancy.
Throughout the end of my pregnancy, Jaymie was especially supportive in helping me navigate medical recommendations around timing of delivery. While my baby was labeled IUGR, she was consistently growing and remained around the 10th percentile, and Jaymie helped me make sense of the information I was receiving so I could lean into my intuition and make informed decisions without feeling rushed. Her guidance helped me feel grounded, confident, and supported as I decided when induction felt right for me.
For my labor I ended up being induced at 40+5, and my labor in the hospital was somewhat constrained due to the fetal heartbeat monitoring, but she remained calm, kind, and steady and gave me lots of advice and encouragement throughout on what I can try to do during different parts of labor.
I especially appreciated her presence during my prolonged epidural process, when she supported my husband and helped explain what was happening while we were separated. That support meant a lot in the middle of an otherwise chaotic moment.
During delivery, while everyone else in the room was telling me to push push push, Jaymie held my hand the whole time and her quiet encouragement and affirming words helped me feel grounded and empowered when I needed it most.
Overall for my first birth it was really great having Jaymie on speed dial whenever I needed her :) I’m grateful for the steady presence, reassurance, and encouragement Jaymie provided me during such a vulnerable and meaningful chapter of my life.
