Lulu was such an asset to both me and my husband before, during, and after the birth of our son. Her presence was calming and reassuring, and I honestly feel that my birth experience would have been so much more difficult if not for her. The insight she shared to help me feel prepared for birth was so helpful, as was her support and knowledge while I navigated (and continue to navigate) the challenges of breastfeeding. She continues to provide us with resources and it’s clear she truly cares about her clients and their wellbeing. We also had several postpartum sessions with Lulu, which I would definitely recommend for continued support. So many new questions and challenges arose during the days following my delivery, and we found we could really count on Lulu to have knowledge and expertise on a range of topics - not to mention what an amazing cook she is! Having her right by my side throughout my labor and delivery was such a comfort, especially as a first time mom with little family support nearby. I hope that others will read this review and opt for doula support if they are on the fence - I was too, early in my pregnancy. Being now on the other side of it, I think the benefits are immeasurable and everyone should be so lucky to have a support person like Lulu caring for them and cheering them on. I’ll definitely be forever grateful that we had Lulu as our doula.
