Enza was our doula for our first child. I was the first of my friends and family to get pregnant so I really didn't know what to expect with labor. Enza was recommended by my midwife at Essex OBGYN in Beverly. Enza was incredibly warm and we felt reassured by her familiarity with both the staff and hospital facilities. We loved her approach as we discussed our preferred birth plan and she provided insight beforehand on what to expect and things I could ask for. Her frequent check ins made me feel like I could always reach out if I needed. I was two weeks late and she provided much wanted advice on how to promote labor naturally because I wanted to avoid an induction. Once I went into labor (her advice worked!), she quickly advocated on my behalf for things I had discussed with her. She stayed by my side and offered comfort, recommendations, and reassurance during thee entirety of my unmediated labor. She knew both the staff and hospital so I felt confident looking to her for guidance or questions. It was amazing to have someone steady and accessible through the shift changes. Once baby was born, she frequently stayed in touch. Enza kept me incredibly grounded during the whole process from pregnancy to post-natal care and I can't imagine having such a wonderful experience without her.
