Chris is an amazing doula. she's extremely knowledgeable, present, and focused. I went into labor while i was with Chris. While I insisted I was in early labor Chris was clear I was active and got me set up in the shower with a birth ball. Whole I continued to insist I was not in real labor, Chris knew I was in transition and made sure I contacted my midwife to have her come over. She helped my partner with hip squeezes until those stopped working. She was empathetic to my discomfort, but kept a positive and when funny attitude at moments. When things got messy she had suggestions. When i tried to hold back from pushing she held my hand and calmly coached me and didn't complain when I bruised her hands.
