Having Carolynn as our doula was one of the best decisions we made during our prenatal and postpartum journey. As first-time parents, we didn’t know what to expect, but her unwavering support helped us feel confident and prepared every step of the way.
We also took her BTC birth class, which was incredibly valuable for both my spouse and me. Through our prenatal and postpartum time with Carolynn, we were able to connect more deeply, ask questions, clarify expectations, create our birth plan, and prepare for labor in meaningful, practical ways. During my last trimester, I struggled with severe back pain, and the stretches and baby-rotating positions she taught us brought significant relief.
During labor, Carolynn was an incredible source of strength. While labor is physically painful, much of it is mental, and she helped me stay grounded through scripture, gentle encouragement, and calm coaching through each contraction. She also empowered my husband with practical ways to support me. Her steady, calming presence never wavered.
Postpartum recovery and nursing came with their own difficulties, but Carolynn remained a constant resource. She was always just a call or text away and supported us through lactation concerns, latch issues, alternative feeding methods, baby sleep, and feeding rhythms. She was the first to notice our baby might be dairy intolerant, and eliminating dairy made a life-changing difference. She also helped us connect quickly with a pediatric chiropractor and recommended releasing our baby’s tongue tie-both game changers for feeding.
