Having Ines as my birth doula is one of beautiful and poignant memories in my life. She is friendly, personable, helpful, organized, thorough and competent.
She is highly knowledgeable about the birthing process as well as caring for both the mama and the baby.
Around 32 weeks, my baby was breech and Ines encouraged me to do daily exercises in order to create more space for my son to turn head down.
She also recommended to use lavender and coconut oil to gently massage the belly which was soothing.
All the regimens she instructed were very effective and helpful and at around 38 weeks, the baby position was head down
Exactly at 38 weeks, I felt a mild contractions started in the morning around 9 am and labor progressed rapidly once the water broke around 3:30pm
Took an Uber to hospital around 5pm and the contraction was so intense I started losing my mind and thought I was going to give birth on Uber lol
Got to hospital around 5:45 pm and I asked for epidural (pain killer) but the doctor said it was too late as I am on the transition phase and ready to push.
Ines was there and every time I felt contraction, she did such a great counter pressure massage which was super helpful and it made the contraction much more bearable.
I’m very grateful to have a successful VBAC that I dreamed of. So thankful to know and have her as my doula and I will always cherish this beautiful birth memory with Ines :) ????
