I can't rave enough about Suzanne and the whole team. I had an instant connection with Suzanne because of how warm and welcoming she came across even through a phone call. As my pregnancy progressed, i faced some complications during my 3rd trimester. She was extremely knowledged, comforting, and empowering through each step of the way. As soon as she arrived to the hospital, she was very transparent with me on how the birth might go. We discussed it indeatil, she was very reassuring and empowering, which really helped me accept the direction my birth was taking and ready to face it. She never dosed off or showed tiredness through out the whole night. Her work and how she cares for the whole person had left a mark in my heart. Her support did not stop at birth! As I was right back in the ER the same day i got discharged because the postpartum nurse blantly disregarded and denied the burital spinal headach I was suffering from. The ER visit was very disspointing and they rushed me back home and denied that i had a spinal headache...I woke up the following day with more pain and unable to walk from the pain. I called her crying...she instilled the exact words i need to say and what I need to do inorder to advocate for myself. I followed her directions and was finnaly able to get someone to hear me when i went back for my second ER visit. Because of her support I was able to get my spinal patch and finally feel better and get back to caring my my newborn. During her postpartum visit, she did such a through evaluation for my baby. She asked and gave me the space to talk about what just happened/my birth experiance, it was so healing to be able to do that with her. Suzanne was our guardian angel. I wish I had all the money in the world to pay her extra for the love, support, and empowerment she has brought during my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.
