We had Shamika as a night doula for the first 6 weeks after the birth of our daughter, and could not recommend her more! As first time parents Shamika provided a level of comfort and experience that helped us through the very tiring early weeks. She is extremely knowledgeable about breastfeeding and bottle feeding and guided us through some of the feeding difficulties our daughter was having. She also made sure to tell us all of the tips related to feeding and cleaning that made our lives a lot easier, and we are still using her methods today. Shamika's presence always put us at ease, and we always looked forward to her arrival and got many great nights of sleep knowing our daughter was in safe hands. She made sure to check in with us every visit and see how we were doing, and talk through any difficulties or stresses we were having. We’re not sure how we would have managed without her patience, attention to detail and comforting presence. We would 100% recommend Shamika for anyone, and are planning having a second kid just so we can hire her again!
