Melanie was definitely a great addition to have throughout my pregnancy journey. As a VBAC candidate I was unsure about my body's capabilities to do a home birth. Melanie had the experience and gave me the reassurance to go after my home birth goal! I didn't know what to expect out of having a doula but it was worth it to have an extra person on your side. I was comfortable with her suggestions on how to achieve my goals for my home birth. Prior to labor she helped educate me in birth positions and preparing my mindset for the big day. Melanie gave me the extra push that was needed during labor and reminded me I was strong enough to handle the birth! She sincerely believed in me and you can tell she wholeheartedly finds joy in supporting women with their pregnancy/ giving birth.
