Tiffany was everything my wife and I could have hoped for. My wife and I had specific requirements due to our situation. Our first born (not with Tiffany) came 10 weeks early via emergency C-Section and ultimately only lived for a day. My wife was determined after this that our next birth be a V-bac, and that we did our best to avoid using an epidural for as long as possible. Tiffany was instrumental in our plan becoming a reality. She brought real empathy to our situation and was very sensitive to some of the trauma the hospital could bring my wife. She met with us ahead of time and very thoroughly went through all the steps we could take to help potentially get our baby into labor early (our request), all the signs to look for, what to do in each stage of labor, and how to prep for the hospital. My wife went into labor at 10pm on a Saturday, and tiffany answered right away and walked us through what to do next.
As a husband, your role can vary a little in the hospital and the relationship I had with Tiffany was obviously a little different than my wife's. Tiffany and I could both tell early that my wife wanted me right next to her, and Tiffany did everything in her power to facilitate that while also helping my wife. She helped keep me caffeinated, gave me helpful suggestions on how to ease my wife's growing pain, and honestly even just kept a light conversation going with me to help keep some levity in the room. She kept my wife and I calm (as we could be) and confident that everything was going smoothly, which is exactly what we needed to hear. My wife made it 90% of the way through labor without the epidural, and our baby came out healthy and happy. She did all this on no sleep. I couldn't reccommend her enough for anyone looking for a Doula or a new coffee buddy.
