I struggled to write this review for a few months because it is hard to find the right words to describe just how impactful Bree was on the day of my birth. As a first time mom and NICU nurse I struggled with fear of being able to accomplish an unmedicated, low intervention birth.
My labor ramped up quickly and Bree arrived to my house in a very timely manner to support my husband and I. When she arrived I remember immediately feeling a sense of calm in her presence. She stepped in for counter pressure, positioning and hydrating me in between contraction. As labor continued my baby was slightly malpositioned and unable to progress into the pelvis. Bree advocated for me and knew exactly what to do to get him in the right position. In just 1 hour she had me dilated from a 4 to a 6 and the baby positioned correctly, which allowed me to be admitted to the birth center. I truly don’t remember her ever even taking a single break. She was by my side through the entire labor and birth using her expertise to help me achieve the birth I had dreamt of as a first time mom.
I would also like to highlight the infinite wealth of knowledge Bree provides for you throughout and after your pregnancy. The binder full of wonderful resources leading up to birth was so helpful. She is always a text away for any advice or questions you have. If you are on the fence about hiring her my biggest advice is DO IT. It is worth every penny. I am moving to a new state for my next baby and I truly pray I can find a doula that lives up to my wonderful experience with Bree.
