Laura is an incredible doula. My husband and I attended her childbirth class and she supported me through the birth of our first child.
I chose Laura as my doula because I sensed her listening skills, incredible knowledge, and attention to small details was what I really needed. She always listened to my concerns and took the time to really encourage and support me through them with resources, advice, and a compassionate heart.
In labor, she helped me a variety of ways including trading off with my husband to support me with massage and counterpressure; she suggested new positions and ways to manage contractions; she refreshed a cold cloth on my neck; she got my hair up and out of the way when needed; and she was always present if I needed to talk through the intensity of birth.
In the postpartum phase, she made sure to keep close contact with me just to talk through how things were going with baby and me. This was such a huge help in the thick of the postpartum craziness. I found a lot of hope and peace from our conversations. I am so thankful she was my doula!! Birth and postpartum would've been a much harder experience without her.
I highly recommend her as a doula and childbirth educator!!
