Emma was amazing from start to finish! As a first time mom, I had no idea where to start as far as what I wanted my birth to be like or even where I wanted to give birth. She helped me make a birth plan so I knew all options available to me and gave me advice on how best to prep my body for labor and birth.
The week before my due date, we had to make a last minute change of birth location due to a medical issue. Emma was extremely patient and supportive as we were weighing our options and going back and forth about what we were going to do. She helped ease my mind and called around to help take the burden off of us.
My labor was pretty fast, so Emma met us at the hospital and helped get me checked in as I was 9cm on arrival and unable to speak. I didn't have to worry about anything besides bringing my baby into the world because I knew she had my back and made sure my birth plan was followed. I wouldn't have made it through my unmedicated birth without her support and counter pressure through my contractions.
At our postpartum visit, Emma helped us gain clarity on breastfeeding and pumping as well as reassured us that we were doing great.
We will for sure be calling Emma again for our next baby!!
