I cannot recommend Dana enough as a doula. I experienced a particularly difficult first-time labor (35 hours in total), 28 of which were completely unmedicated. Dana remained present the entire labor, tirelessly and unconditionally supporting me physically and mentally. Her hip squeezes and ability to remind me of coping techniques I had available to me were invaluable. When the time came to assess my options for pain relief, Dana helped me feel at peace with my choice to receive an epidural. Prior to giving birth, her feedback and emotional support helped me advocate for the empowered birth I knew I wanted, and she helped me stay informed about the choices available to me during pregnancy and birth. Despite the difficult and unexpected labor I experienced, I feel completely at peace with my birth story, and I attribute much of that to how much she showed up for me during pregnancy and childbirth. Anyone would be lucky to have Dana as their doula.
