We were referred to Dasha from a family member who had a great experience working with her. I had not been pregnant before and I wanted to work with someone who could help me through my pregnancy and advocate for me during labor. I am so glad that I was able to work with Dasha. She is such a kind and compassionate person and has a calm demeanor that eased my anxiety about giving birth. She is also very knowledgebale about the birthing process and the classes she offers were very helpful. She presented the topic of birth and labor gently but honestly so my partner and I felt more prepared on what to expect during labor and the tools I can use to help make my labor a positive experience. I highly recommend taking her classes!
I had originally planned on having a water birth at a birthing center but after 48 hours of back labor with no progress and spiked blood pressure I ended up being admitted to the hospital. Even though my birth did not go as planned, Dasha was there for me, advocating for me, helping me with positional work and giving advice when I had to make decisions on what needed to be done to have my baby safely. I don't know what I would have done without her!
