Jess was absolutely wonderful as our doula and we would definitely hire her again when we choose to grow our family.
My husband and I had a lot of anxiety around the birth of our first child, specifically labor and delivery. After meeting Jessica we immediately felt supported and our anxieties seen. She ensured that we were armed with information and didn't make us feel like any question or concern was too small or stupid throughout the prenatal stage.
During birth, Jess was every bit the calming presence we hoped for. While our birth progressed in a way we didn't expect, Jess helped us navigate rapidly developing circumstances with calm. I've said multiple times it was nice to "have an adult" in the room with us as first time parents. Jess was incredible support for me as the birthing parent but also for my husband who was carrying a lot of the emotional load for us during L&D.
We also very much appreciated her support in early postpartum, especially as we were navigating sleeping and breastfeeding.
We are so glad we chose to hire a doula for our first birth and even more thrilled that it was Jess.
