Honestly, I can't imagine having given birth without Suzanne. She was absolutely incredible from the first fit call all the way to birthing my son and newborn photos and check-ins.
Without Suzanne, I would've ended up giving birth to my son either in the car or at home – which I didn't want to do. Suzanne told me when I first talked with her that she usually knew when mom's needed to head to the hospital. The day my water broke, she called me and while I was going to stay home a little longer, she was like, "Get to the hospital now." Sure enough my son was born soon after getting there.
Suzanne was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, supportive and honest. She was very good at presenting facts and thoughts without feeling prescriptive. She listened to me intently whenever I needed it, and supported me from month 4 of pregnancy to well after my son was born. She gave me so many helpful resources.
She was also so helpful with my husband and assuring him of what he needed to do to support me and feel like a good partner and father. She helped him feel a strong part of the birthing process, while making me feel supported when he needed breaks.
I cannot say enough good things about Suzanne and dedicated doulas. The support, the photos, the education... everything was amazing. If we have another kid, I can't imagine doing it without them!
