We had Chelsey for our second birth (first with a doula). From the first consultation I felt so supported and she provided a wonderful amount of useful information to ensure that we understood everything! What sold us the most was the prenatal visits where we had in-depth educational meetings one on one and she truly got to know us and our wants.
When it was finally time, she was right there with us at the hospital and made sure my room was exactly how I requested and took over ensuring our desires were communicated. It was so zen and truly magical for laboring as she guided everything and kept me in my laboring zone. We could look to her for support and liaison with our medical team and advocate when needed (this was what I wanted the most- a true advocate!) and she did just that! We trust her wholeheartedly and my birth was fantastic and so different from my first. We loved seeing her postpartum during our meeting and connecting again. We recommend her fully. It’s totally worth it whether this is your first birth or not. Chelsey is now not just a friend but family!
