Having Kristina as our birth doula was so wonderful. While my experience with labor was overall very straightforward, Kristina helped me feel supported and calm throughout. I interviewed over a dozen birth doulas and went with Kristina because from our first meeting she was inquisitive about what I wanted my experience to be, and who my husband and I were. It made me immediately feel heard.
I had a fairly quick labor (was at the hospital and needed the epidural placed in under 2 hours from my first contraction) but Kristina got to the hospital quickly and continuously communicated with my husband before she arrived. She was unobtrusive but present, gently offering any support or suggestions, and being firm handed with hospital staff in a professional manner about my preferences and needs. Kristina ensured I got some nurshment and fluids, and offered my husband a gentle support. She also got some great pictures and short videos and was extremely respectful of my requests in that regard. Further, right after the birth I was suffering from PPA and struggling to sleep, having bad shakes, etc. Kristina continued to offer her support via text/phone and even found a night doula to step in and help out.
Overall, I cannot Recommend Kristina enough for your birth doulas. She is kind, knowledgeable, professional, and firm when needed. I am so grateful for her being a part of my birth experience!
