Christin was an absolute amazing support for my birth. We met and discussed and processed my traumatic first birth and how I really wanted this birth to go. Christin was so supportive and validating of my experience. I truly do not think i would have gotten my VBAC without her! The day I went into labor, I convinced myself I wasn't actually in labor, but Christin checked in on me all day and helped validate that YES i was in labor and guided me through those earlier hours. As soon as she arrived, her presence calmed me and my husband, and she had our wishes at the forefront of her mind and was able to guide us along. She was able to advocate for me in the hospital when I couldn't for myself and allowed my husband to just focus on me. When I felt my resolve slipping about having an unmedicated birth, she was so reassuring and enpowering. Christin made sure I was freely able to move the way I wanted to manage my pain, guided me to labor in positions I told her I wanted, and ultimately supported me into a beautiful vaginal birth. I was so shocked that I did it and she was SO encouraging and as proud of me as I was during that immediate postpartum. She made sure I got my golden hour and felt safe and secure. Her check ins postpartum were perfect timing and it felt like she always knew what to say. If you are looking for an amazing doula to support you, especially with an unmedicated birth or a vbac, Christin is your girl! If I have any more babies, no matter where I am, I want Christin at my birth.
