I initially started looking for a doula because I was moving cross-country in my 27th week of pregnancy, with my first child, and was nervous about finding all new doctors.
As soon as I started working with Tatiana and Dasha they put me at ease. I felt extremely supported throughout my pregnancy with both of them there to answer any questions and provide their guidance or referrals from their vast experience and network. When things were going smoothly, they were proactive about checking in and seeing how I was doing.
When it came to creating my birth plan, I needed to be induced due to GD. They walked us through the entire induction process so both my husband and I felt prepared and educated about all of the potential steps. My goal was to have an unmedicated birth, and I credit Tatiana and Dasha for helping me achieve that even with the induction. They provided me guidance on how to prepare my body from week 37 onward, which I believe shortened the overall induction on week 39- I started directly with the pitocin.
I ended up being induced directly after a routine appointment due to blood pressure concerns, and again having that support system was invaluable. The hospital actually went on lock down and I was told that there were quite a few police outside, but Tatiana still made it in and helped me so much throughout my labor. During the post partum phase she continued to check in and support to make sure we were adjusting well.
Initially I hired Tatiana due my circumstances (moving, first child) but I cannot recommend her enough to anyone. I would absolutely love to work with her again if we do have any more children in the future.
