Chelsea was a God send! I was on the fence about hiring a doula. Was this something I should spend money on? Can't my partner and I do it alone? Of course we could have done it alone, however it was worth every penny to have Chelsea by our side! I wanted a natural birth with low/no intervention as it aligned with our lifestyle. Unfortunately my body had other plans and fought every step of the way. It was comforting to have Chelsea to look to as interventions came up like "is this the only option?". Chelsea offered support and birthing positional changes. It was a relief to have her there as a second support person to take some pressure off my husband as well. It was great to have the prenatal appointments as an opportunity to get to know Chelsea better (even though we vibed off the rip) but also for her help with car seats, baby wearing, birth plans etc. Postpartum checkin was like debriefing with a friend. Even though we have been through it once, I would hire her again for our second child. I would highly recommend Chelsea for your birth support!
