Tessa was a joy to work with and exactly what we were looking for in a postpartum doula. Being first-time parents is very daunting and at times overwhelming but we felt more prepared after our six weeks with Tessa. While her background in nursing made her attractive on paper, her calm but confident demeanor is what really made us comfortable having her in our home and put us at ease. She helped us to feel more confidence with everything from bathing our baby to getting rid of a diaper rash. Of course, the time she provides us to sleep through the night is invaluable as well. We had one incident where our son wasn't behaving in his usual demeanor and she immediately noticed it and alerted us to it. She stayed calm and also went with us to the emergency room out of an abundance of caution. Having her there in that situation was very comforting. She is also a joy to be around, which is important when hiring someone who will be in your home and around your family. But of course, the biggest testimonial is how comfortable our son seems to be with Tessa and how well he took to her. We look forward to using her services in other capacities in the future.
