Working with Nicole a was an enormous pleasure and I would recommend a doula - specifically her - to every expectant person out there. From the prenatal and postpartum visits to the support she gave during my very intense, unmedicated, vaginal birth: everything was beyond what we wanted and expected. She anticipated my needs and provided the support I needed throughout pregnancy and labor/delivery. She was there for us in the middle of the night (1am wake up call!), joining us at Abbott Northwestern's Mother Baby Center for active labor and delivery after a planned induction for gestational hypertension at 38 weeks. My goal was an unmedicated vaginal birth and my birth experience was an absolute dream with Nicole's (and my spouse's) support. She provided a calming, reassuring presence during labor - providing suggestions, encouragement, and physical assistance with positioning and movements to help progress my labor and manage my pain. She was spot on with all of her suggestions and during transition provided the best counter pressure I didn't know I needed. It's clear she is very experienced and evidence-based in all aspects of pregnancy, labor, and delivery.
