I was hesitant about getting a doula at first, but after learning more about the benefits—especially for unmedicated births—I decided to meet with Andria through a friend’s recommendation. From our first meeting, I felt truly heard and supported. She helped me articulate what I wanted for my birth and brought a calming presence that immediately put both my husband and me at ease.
During labor, Andria provided the continuous support I hoped for. She was always there with ideas, comfort measures, and steady encouragement. She squeezed my hips during contractions, held my hand, offered positive affirmations, and supported me emotionally and physically throughout my 19-hour labor. Her calm steadiness helped my husband stay grounded too.
Throughout pregnancy and birth, she made me feel immensely supported. My husband and family appreciated having her there, especially since she allowed them to take breaks while knowing I was still cared for.
Her communication was excellent, and she was considerate of our family’s needs. Being able to text her during early labor was incredibly helpful, and she always responded with reassurance. She also helped us create a clear “birth wishes” document and typed it up for us, which made us feel more prepared.
Andria checked in regularly and was always honest and sincere. As a first-time mom, having her guidance made a huge difference. Nurses, OBs, and even midwives can’t always stay in the room, but with a doula you have someone whose focus is solely on you. She helped us prepare for things I never would have thought of on my own.
I highly recommend Andria. Her presence, kindness, and expertise made my birth experience so much more supported and meaningful.
