I cannot express how grateful I am for Julie’s support throughout my pregnancy and labor. She made sure to check in with me weekly with exercises and stretches, offering invaluable advice and gentle guidance.
When I started laboring, Julie arrived promptly at the hospital and jumped straight into action, offering positioning suggestions and telling me to listen to my body, that it knew what to do and that I was doing it. Julie brought a sense of peace into the room that made everything feel a little bit more manageable. She guided me through each painful contraction with grace and power, her gentle voice was such a force to have at my side through labor.
Not only did Julie support me, but she took the time to make sure my husband felt included and empowered during the process. She taught him counter pressure points, breathing techniques and she coached him over the phone before she even arrived at the hospital on how to support me. Julie made sure to give my husband the tools to advocate for me when I couldn’t, which were so helpful. We were in such good hands with her.
Julie also took photos and videos of my laboring experience that we hold so close to our hearts. I didn’t even realize any of them were being taken either, which made it all the more special to see them after baby arrived.
I wholeheartedly recommend Julie to anyone looking for a doula. She was truly a godsend and an amazing part of my support system during the most amazing experience of my life.
