Testimonial for Jet City Doulas
We had our first baby with Jet City Doulas in February 2024 and are so happy to be working with them as we await our daughter's birth next month. We ended up really appreciating the thoughtful way they structure their doula care package. We found the onboarding and pre-birth meetings were extemely helpful, the labor support crucial to getting through a difficult birth, and the post-partum care to be reassuring and supportive.
My husband and I would have been equally happy with any of the three doulas (Katie, Jen and Mariah) attending our birth, and appreciated how each of them leant their strengths and expertise to different parts of our experience. In the end, I had a very long and difficult labor, starting with Katie in the hospital for about 24 hours and then Jen taking over for the pushing phase. I ultimately had a healthy, spontanous birth, but I would have felt lost without their emotional support, expertise and advocacy at the many difficult decision points I had to face. I am not at all confident that I wouldn't have ended up having a C section or other intervention that ended up not being necessary without the advocacy of the doulas.
I also can't say enough about how helpful and available they are at all stages of the process. They were responsive in the weeks approaching my due date whenever I called or texted with questions about new contraction sensations, etc., and then in the post-partum period, especially through a few lactation challenges.
