Comparing my first delivery to my second one, I am so glad to have found Aja for my second delivery. She helped provide and practice stretches/exercises to do prior to delivery. Then during the delivery itself she helped encourage and guide me through the pain. I was skeptical about not getting an epidural because I'm pain-aversive but she remained very positive and guided me back to my breath with each contraction. I still can't believe I had a smooth delivery without an epidural or other pain meds. Aja had my wellbeing in mind and reminded me not to push when it was too early. When I finally did push, little Kai came out just 15 minutes later. My first delivery (without Aja) I had 3rd degree tears that made me bedridden for almost two months versus this delivery I only had a superficial tear. I'm recovering well now and able to play with my toddler within just a month.
After delivery she continued to support and help provide valuable information about caring for the newborn and myself. She helped me gain more confidence in breastfeeding the baby while making sure I was in a comfortable position. Above all, Aja did an excellent job helping me feel comfortable and open to sharing. Thank you so much Aja for all the support these past 3 months!
