Late in my pregnancy, I decided to hire a doula and am so lucky to have found Jessica! From the minute we met via video via chat, I knew she was something special. It’s hard to put into words but when you know you know. Her presence and energy resonated and I knew she was the right doula for me.
This was my first pregnancy and after years of trying to get pregnant I had fear and worry around my upcoming birth experience. Jessica’s warm and supportive approach helped me work through those fears and manifest the birth experience I wanted to have and remember for years to come.
My baby was breech. During our prenatal visits, Jessica gave me tools and exercises to encourage the baby to turn. I ended up having an ECV, which Jessica accompanied me to. I was very nervous for the procedure. Jessica gave me strategies to remain centered and her calming presence during the procedure was positively impactful.
Jessica talked me and my support person through preparations for both a natural birth and a c-section. When I delivered my baby via c-section, Jessica did an amazing job of keeping my support person and I calm and creating a soothing and calm atmosphere. She also took incredible photos which I look at frequently and will cherish forever.
I was so grateful for her postnatal support (texts and visit) in which she ensured I had proper supports in place (I’m a single mom). The visit was confidence boosting and very reassuring.
I hope I will be pregnant again and if that happens for me, I will definitely be hiring Jessica to be my doula. I couldn’t imagine going through birth without her (or with anyone else) as my doula.
