When my birth plan had to be changed from an unmedicated birth center delivery to an induction at the local hospital, Lucy’s calm reassurance and informed coaching through each stage of induction, labor and delivery were truly invaluable. We felt deeply grateful to have her with us throughout a long 36 hours and can’t imaging having gone through the experience without her help and care as part of our team of support.
Lucy’s postpartum visits were equally helpful and generous as she checked in on me and baby, continuing to offer her expertise and advice during the delicate time of postpartum recovery. When breastfeeding became extremely painful Lucy came for a second consultation without charging us and helped identify a significant tongue tie the pediatrician initially missed, then confirmed after a reexamination. Once the tie was released both me and my baby were helped tremendously and have been able to continue breastfeeding well into his ninth month without issue.
