We had Hilary as our birth and post-partum doula. I cannot speak highly enough of her work. She was essential in helping us navigate some surprises in birth (unplanned induction @ 38 weeks) and showed up for us at 2:00 AM when we needed her at the hospital. She helped get me into different laboring positions, recognized when I was starting to get nervous or panic, and reminded me of parts of my birth plan I had forgotten about in the moment. My partner and I were so gratetful to have her by our side.
I said multiple times through my maternity leave that I would not have enjoyed my maternity leave anywhere nearly as much as I did if it had not been for Hilary's help 2x a week. She was a steady presence and allowed me to take care of errands, take care of myself, step away with peace of mind, etc. It was INCREDIBLE and allowed me to be more present during the time I had with my daughter and partner.
