It was helpful to have had her guidance along the way (cue my water breaking and wondering what to do next!) which felt like a mental safety net to know I could reach out for her expert advice anytime. When the time came, I was so thankful to have her by my side at birth—she helped create a calm enviornment, knew where to relief tension I was holding to keep me relaxed, proatively repositioned me throughout labor, and cheered me on through it all.
