Kate is an amazing doula!
we met in my third trimester, since my husband and her husband worked together. I was hesitant on getting a doula because I had my first without one. But upon talking with her, I specifically gravitated towards her calm and beautiful energy and knew thats what I needed and wanted for my planned birth center delivery. Unfortunately baby had other plans and I ended up having a precipitous birth and baby was delivered at home. Kate was on the phone coaching my husband on what to do and kept him as calm as possible. She was minutes away when he was born! Although she missed the initial delivery, she followed through at the hospital and provided afterbirth care, that I couldn't thank her enough for! Two weeks later, she came over for a postpartum visit and provided an amazing dinner as well. I will not be hiring anyone else, but her for my next pregnancy/ies.
