During labor, Jen was phenomenal: bringing the right mix of practical tools, gentle encouragement, and advocacy to align things with our wishes. Whether it was soothing words, a purposeful suggestion, or a steady hand when we needed it, Jen was there. I felt heard throughout our birth planning process and seen and supported throughout both (wildly different) births. My husband also felt deep support from Jen as she encouraged him to eat and sleep.
Reflecting on the postpartum support Jen provided me makes me want to cry tears of gratitude. That is such a delicate, special, stressful time and Jen's expertise and genuine love for the families she supports was evident and so appreciated. And if that's not enough, in addition to birth planning, birth support, and postpartum care, Jen was a listening ear through my late stage miscarriage.
